"My wife and I used this wonderful haven on our way out to South Island and on the way back. We spent 7 weeks touring south island and used travel lodges for our stop-overs - there wasn't one which could touch the Boulcott Lodge!! We stayed there for three nights in February and 3 nights again in March, We had the best of management staff and probably the cleanest most comfotable rooms we could have wished for. We had the facilities to make our own breakfasts and if we wished an evening meal too and as we were using public transport in and around Wellington, buses and trains were all convenient. It was not the cheapest but certainly very little dearer than any of the rest. "

"I chose this hotel as I had a client to visit in Petone, and other business travellors on Trip Advisor had said this was the best in Lower Hutt. I have to agree. I regularly stay at hotels, and this was among the best. I arrived on the last flight and the owner was waiting for me, as the reception closed a couple of hours earlier. There is no restaurant, so he took my breakfast order at that stage and delivered it promptly the next morning.
Very pleasant and friendly service.
I had a Standard Studio room which as a good size and came equipped with a kitchenette, table and chairs, good lighting and a good sized bathroom.
It is a fair distance from Wellington central, but I would definitely stay there again for business in Petone.."

"We chose this location mostly to get used to the right-hand drive of the rental car and access to the golf course. The motel itself was so comfortable. We stayed 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Air conditioning was a welcome feature. The kitchen was adequate for our needs, and the bed was very comfortable. Catching the bus across the street gave easy access to downtown Wellington. Very friendly staff."

"A real highlight of my NZ trip! Stayed for two nights - great location; very convenient to shops as well as Wellington. Nice neighborhoods to stroll through nearby. "This is the nicest accommodation you will find in Lower Hutt. The rooms were clean, quiet and tastefully decorated. "After reading the reviews on trip advisor we decided to stay at The Boutcott Lodge for two nights and really cannot fault it at all.
The location is really good, just out of the city centre and for those that know Lower Hutt they are located just opposite The Knox Church (the google maps are a little inaccurate). Although on a main street it is not noisy at all.
The whole complex is very new, very clean, well appointed in every way with great attention to detail. We have already recommended it to others!

"Great stay, value for money, can't go wrong here!
Stayed one night on June 9, 2010 and wished we stayed for a week. It cost us $150.00 and well worth it. The room and indeed the complex was clean and well presented. It was cold on the night we were there, but the heat pump in the room quickly warmed the place.
Things that matter to us when we stay places is that there is good water pressure and good hot water. Here, you couldn't get it much better. The bathroom is very modern and spacious. There is also complimentary internet which the staff we very helpful to help connect. It was only phone call to reception away.
There are many restaurants close by and shops are not too far off either. Central Wellington is only five minutes away.
We were very impressed and will definitely stay here again when we are next in Wellington. You really will not go wrong staying here.

"Sleek good designed accommodation. Very well appointed room. All areas ultra clean great to find this especially in the kitchen and bathroom. Plenty of supplies. Connection for my laptop was the easiest I've encountered anywhere. The management team were very pleasant and helpful and I felt it was more "hotel" class than "motel" but with all the added convenience of self catering. Excellent stay for me."

"Best two nights during 3½ weeks in New Zealand."
"This brand new and welcoming place was the best my wife and I stayed at during our 3½ weeks vacation in New Zealand, and at the same time it was not the most expensive place. Good value! The best thing about the place was the very quiet room and top quality bed which gave us the best nights sleep during our stay in NZ. Cleanliness and service was also in top. We got really good advice on where to go for our 5K morning run and of what to explore in Wellington."

"My father and I were needing accommodation in the Hutt Valley at short notice. I was reluctant to stay there as, in the past, the options in the area have been very limited and not really of a standard I would prefer to stay in. However I came across the Boulcott and we were very pleased with our choice. The complex had only been open for nine weeks and we were impressed with the decor and layout of the 2 bdrm apartment we rented. It was warm and very sound proof. In addition I had trouble with my Wifi connection and Mark went out of his way to try and assist me."

"The rooms are brand new...done perfectly. Great choice in colours and design. Very clean and comfortable. I would highly and definilty recommend to anyone for short or long stays. Friendly service. Don't stay anywhere else in the Hutt...I have tried them all and the Boulcott Lodge is the very best by far."
